Can you believe New Year’s Eve is tomorrow?! What are ya’ll doing? Last year, Ryan and I bought a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, turned on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve and called it a night. Sound boring? It was actually one of the most fun New Year’s Eve we’ve had! It was so nice to be snuggled up in our pajamas, drink as much champagne as we want (without having to worry about driving!), and ring in the new year together.
We plan on having a similar NYE this year, so I thought I would test drive a few variations of champagne cocktails here at the office (dream job, I know).
My favorite, by far, was champagne mixed with blackberries and Chambord liquor. If you are hosting a NYE party, set up a champagne bar with different berries for your guests to add to their champagne glasses, along with mint and rosemary for garnish. For a fun twist, you can find really cool, vintage champagne glasses and cups at most thrift stores!
Not a fan of champagne? Try a Moscow mule (vodka and ginger beer) topped with blackberries, pomegranate and mint leaves. Or try our mulled blackberry wine.
Do you have a favorite cocktail with berries? I’d love to hear about it! And recreate it here in our kitchen!
