Ingredients:
- 2 pounds California Giant strawberries, washed and dried
- 3 ounces dried shredded kataifi (about 3 cups)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¾ cup pistachio butter
- 1 tablespoon tahini (optional)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ¾ cup quality dark chocolate chips (about 4 ounces)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt, whole milk or 2%, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup crushed pistachios, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Make the Dubai Pistachio Mixture: Roughly chop the kataifi and cook it in a large skillet with butter over medium heat until golden. Remove from heat and stir in the pistachio butter and tahini until combined. Set aside.
- Make the Chocolate Dip: In a medium metal bowl, use an electric hand mixer to whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Transfer to the fridge. Melt chocolate chips in a small skillet over low heat; set aside. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, Greek yogurt, and vanilla, mixing on low. Add cocoa powder and mix on low, gradually increasing to medium speed. Add melted chocolate and mix on medium speed until incorporated. Remove whipped cream from the fridge and fold it into the chocolate mixture, then mix on medium speed until fully combined.
- Assemble: In a medium serving dish, add about 1 cup of the Dubai pistachio mixture to the bottom, then layer on about 1 cup of the chocolate dip. Continue alternating layers. Garnish with crushed pistachios, if desired. Add fresh California Giant Strawberries to the serving tray and enjoy.
