To get started, follow the recipe below:
Ingredients
Simple syrup:

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

4 star anise

20 ea whole allspice

4 cinnamon sticks
Remaining ingredients:

2 cup cabernet (or other dark red wine)

2 cup apple cider

4 cups mixed California Giant berries, fresh or frozen (a mix of any berries work well here)
Instructions

In a medium sauce pot, combine all ingredients for simple syrup and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Turn off heat and let steep 1 hour.

In a large pitcher, combine wine, apple cider, and mixed berries. Let steep 1 hour.
