To end National Nutrition Month on a sweet note, we’ve rounded up three healthy beverage recipes that are packed with nutrients and delicious berry flavor. So raise a glass and drink up with some of our favorite healthy sips featuring California Giant strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Cheers!
Going back to the basics doesn’t get any better! This five ingredient Blueberry Smoothie is packed
with protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals to enjoy as a grab-and-go breakfast or afternoon snack. When you get the craving for a frozen drink, this vibrant smoothie checks all the boxes of a nutrient dense meal while delivering irresistibly sweet and creamy berry flavor.
Hint: Try our Blueberry Smoothie as a smoothie bowl! When blending the ingredients, just decrease the amount of almond milk to ensure a thicker smoothie consistency. Pour into a bowl and top with more berries, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and your favorite granola.
Green Hibiscus Tea is loaded with antioxidants, and when paired with nutrient-rich California Giant berries and fresh ginger, you get a healthy and refreshing beverage! We love pairing this drink with a salad at lunch for that fresh taste we crave.
Hint: If you garnish with frozen berries, you can skip the ice all together and avoid the possibility of a watered-down drink. Plus, you get to snack on the bonus berries at the bottom of your glass!
Berry-Infused Water
Infusing water with berries can mean adding more essential vitamins and minerals to your glass of water. One of our favorite ways to infuse water is with California Giant strawberries- just follow these steps:
- Fill a bottle of water about ¾ of the way full
- Add a handful of washed a trimmed strawberries
- Close the lid on your bottle
- Refrigerate for 12-24 hours
- Enjoy!
Hint: We love to double our berry goodness by using Berry Ice Cubes in our infused water!
