Turn soft berries into a delicious sweet treat for a loved one! Use up your extra berries in a pie filling, like in this Easy Strawberry Pie, or this simple Berry Galette. There are so many recipes that can help you find creative ways to utilize those overripe berries.

Add excess berries to a tall glass of ice water for a berry-infused beverage. Infusing berries into water adds a mildly sweet and tart flavor that can encourage you to increase your daily water intake. You can even add them to your next cocktail as a garnish or to be muddled as a part of the drink!

How To Freeze Berries

When freezing berries, you’ll want to place them on a baking sheet in the freezer for about 24 hours before placing them in a freezer-safe bag. You can use those frozen berries in a Berry Smoothie Bowl or even leave them out to defrost before making homemade preserves or jams!

How To Store Berries

When bringing berries home from the store, keep them dry and in their original container, wait to rinse them until right before they are going to be used or eaten.  Keeping berries in a cool and dry environment will help extend their shelf life.
