Easy Halloween Recipes That Are Better Than Candy

Share

It’s spooky season, everyone! While I have never been a huge costume connoisseur, I definitely like to get festive in the kitchen for Halloween gatherings. Now that we actually have a kitchen to entertain in (that includes an oven!), I love cooking and baking even more. However, if I can simplify my life after a long work week or travel, I will definitely opt for some easier recipes on hand – because why make life difficult when you don’t have to?!

That said, this Freaky Fog Cocktail is perfectly party-friendly and sure to impress for your Halloween get-together this week. Did I mention it takes a total of 5-minutes to prep? That’s right – you don’t even have to work for it! This cocktail is sweet, spooky and oh so good. If you really want to ‘wow’ guests with drama, add a few small pieces of dry ice for the foggy effect (note: make sure it dissolves before drinking).

Quick and easy party bites are my jam, so I love these Scary Berry Screaming Ghosts with California Giant blueberries. It has that perfect mix of sweet and salty and is extra-adorable for the little-ones to enjoy. You can easily prep these Wednesday after work for you Halloween festivities the next day, or even the night of being that they only take about 40 minutes to whip together.

What I like to make the night before a Halloween party are these fun Scary Greek Yogurt Dipped Ghost Berries. The ingredients list for these is definitely not intimidating, but they do require being prepped in advance to cool and harden properly. Other than that, they are as simple and scary as can be!

A final Halloween favorite are these Berry Cats and Batsthey’re bite size, sweet and ready-to-eat. This recipe is a fun one to do with the kiddos – just grab a cookie cutter and let the littles start making some spooky bat wings! In the meantime, you can grab the batter and work on the more intricate cuts like the cat ears and tails. Once all your shapes are cut out, just affix them to the back of the berry and stand them up right on a serving dish to your guests. Yum!

Whatever your spell-binding recipes may be for Halloween, we hope you have a fun, safe holiday with all the goodies to pair – not just the sugary candy! We’re excited to celebrate with healthier sweets that can easily be tricked into tasting like a treat!
