Grab your gals – it’s time to gear up for Galentine’s Day because after all, this Hallmark holiday is for more than just couples. It’s all about LOVE. Love for your gal pals, family, friends and life partners. While I am also in a relationship that celebrates Valentine’s Day, I love any excuse to get together with my friends, share some bites, drinks and have a girls only night! Sorry boys!
If you’re hosting your lady friends over for a night away from responsibilities, I can promise you they will all appreciate these absolutely adorable and Gluten Free Blackberry & Lemon Cream Cheese Cupcakes. Not only are these every bit of feminine and sweet, they’re super easy to make and frost. No need for extra garnishing, these take the cake all by themselves (no pun intended!)
For another fresh and feminine cake option that you’ll definitely take with you to your Instagram feed is this Blueberry Lemon Olive Oil Cake. Honestly, I love any berry-lemon combo and this is every bit of that. This cake is sweet and tart, and takes a little more time and lady-power to prep but hey, baking and decorating a cake with a glass of champagne in hand with your favorite girls sounds like a fun activity to me! Plus, you can all grab a fork afterward and dig in to your creation!
If you’re like me and enjoy any excuse to brunch, you may find yourself hosting a quaint Galentine’s brunch outing and may be asking yourself how to spruce this shindig up. I personally love the idea of adding some sweet, feminine touches to décor and recipes without going overboard into the cliché Valentine’s themes. Adding some fresh Blueberry Basil Bellini’s to the table will do just the trick with their gorgeous deep pink hue and various textures. These will be gone QUICK, so I’d recommend having extra ingredients on standby ;-) Add a build-your-own parfait station to the mix, and a little sweet treat like these White Chocolate Rosé Strawberries to indulge in afterward, and you have the perfect afternoon set in place.
Wherever the day takes you, and whether you get together with your gals before or after the Valentine’s Day holiday – what’s truly important is sharing and expressing love for all of those people in your life that mean the most (not just during this holiday, but every day!)
