Words cannot describe how delicious and moist and decadent this cake is. This cake is the reason why you should no longer buy boxed cake mix. I don’t know if it’s the Guinness beer, the sour cream, the cream cheese frosting, or the juicy, red strawberries. This cake is absolute perfection.
I searched high and low for the perfect Guinness cake recipe in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Ali from the blog Gimme Some Oven never fails to disappoint, so I decided to follow her recipe that she adapted from Epicurious.
Remember that time I mentioned the girls in my family have a beef stroganoff engagement recipe? Well, I think this cake takes that title. My husband, Ryan, devoured this cake. He asked if I could make another this weekend. Ha!
